The MCC music therapy program utilizes different forms of music-making to immerse our students in a colorful world of melodies, instruments, and movements to address developmental, social, and emotional needs in a fun and motivating way. Our students participate in weekly music therapy sessions in a comfortable environment where each activity is modified for their level of ability and musical preferences. Targeted skills and objectives are carefully planned to help students develop and grow to their best musical potential.
At MCC, Adaptive Physical Education is about meeting the unique needs of individual students so that our students can participate in all aspects of physical education. This individually tailored Physical Education program is individually designed, modified, and tailored to meet the gross-motor needs of each student through direct instruction from our Adaptive Physical Education teacher.
Supporting the social and emotional health of our students and families is a cornerstone of MCC. A licensed social worker assists MCC families in participating effectively in their child’s education, identifying and accessing community supports and services, as well as providing essential counseling functions to improve the lives of MCC students.
